Why internet changes break working CCTV apps
The phone app may be unchanged, but the recorder’s path to the internet may no longer be valid. New routers often mean different gateway details, DNS behavior, or outbound filtering.
What to re-check immediately
- Recorder IP, subnet, gateway, and DNS settings
- Platform access or P2P status
- Date and time settings
- Whether the app account is still bound correctly
- Whether the new router blocks outbound connections
If local live view works but remote view fails right after an ISP or router change, start with gateway, DNS, and platform status first.
